Ordering & Custom
How custom orders work, from first message to finished suit.
20-25 days from when your measurements and material choices are confirmed to when the finished suit ships from our Sialkot workshop. This covers cutting, paneling, triple-stitching, hardware fitting, quality check, and packaging.
Add 3-7 days for international shipping via DHL, UPS, or Skynet depending on your country. Total door-to-door is typically 25-32 days.

All three routes lead to the same conversation: we walk you through your options, quote you upfront, then send measurement instructions.
Yes — we regularly work from customer sketches, mockups, or reference photos. Send us what you've got (even a rough drawing works) and we'll come back with a production-ready design mockup for your approval before we start cutting.
All Bakim Forge suits are custom by default — there is no "off the rack" option. When you buy from the shop, you're picking a design silhouette that we then build to your measurements.
The prices you see are starting-from prices for the base tier (full-grain cowhide, polyester thread, hard plastic sliders). Upgrading to higher tiers adds to the final quote.
Yes, within the first 48 hours after payment — before we've started cutting leather. Message us on WhatsApp with the changes and we'll update the spec sheet.
After we start cutting (Day 3), design changes may not be possible or may incur additional costs. Measurement changes cannot be accepted after cutting begins.
Yes. Every suit is made from individual measurements, so there's no distinction between "men's" and "women's" cuts — we build to your body regardless of gender. Female riders should measure accordingly using the size guide, and we'll adjust panelling accordingly.
Sizing & Fit
Getting your measurements right and how the suit fits.
Yes, all body. A racing suit isn't a t-shirt — the wrong sleeve length by 2cm affects your riding position, the wrong shoulder width creates crash-risk gaps in armor coverage, the wrong inseam bunches at your ankles.
If any of the measurements are unclear or missing, we'll come back and ask before cutting. It's faster to send them all upfront.
Race suits fit tight — but not compressed. You should be able to zip up standing straight, then feel snugness across the chest, shoulders, and thighs. Bending forward (like on the bike) should feel comfortable, not restrictive.
Leather stretches slightly with wear (2-5%) as it molds to your body. We build the suit accounting for this break-in.
Because every suit is measured to your specific body, fit issues are rare — but they happen. If your suit arrives and doesn't fit correctly:
- Send us photos of you wearing it (front, back, side)
- Describe where it's too tight or too loose
- We assess: minor issues we can guide you through break-in, major issues we'll rework at our cost
Reworks typically take 10-15 days plus return shipping.
Thin, close-fitting clothing. A t-shirt and thin cotton shorts is the standard. Not underwear (measurements can feel awkward and often inaccurate). Not baggy clothes (adds false size).
Wear the socks you'll ride in when measuring inseam — thick socks add real height under the ankle.
Materials & Build
Leather, thread, sliders, armor — what goes into the suit.
Full-grain cowhide — Entry tier. Durable, thicker (1.3-1.4mm), heavier. Great for track days and general use. Most affordable.
Kangaroo leather — Sport tier. Lighter than cowhide (1.0-1.1mm), higher tensile strength per gram, and more supple. Faster break-in.
Premium kangaroo — Race tier. Same properties as standard kangaroo but sourced from higher-quality hides, more uniform in thickness, and lower defect rate.
Every Bakim Forge suit includes high-density impact armor at the shoulders, elbows, knees, and back. The armor is designed to distribute impact energy across a wider area to reduce force transmitted to your body.
For specific certification questions about armor pieces, message us directly — we can provide detailed information about the armor supplier and specifications for your build.
Hard plastic: lightest, cheapest, wears out fastest — replace every 1-2 track seasons. Fine for occasional track days.
Magnesium: mid-weight, slightly better slide properties (creates spark shower on lean-angle contact), replace every 2-3 seasons.
Titanium: heaviest but most durable, best slide friction properties, effectively lifetime. Preferred by dedicated track and pro riders.
All three are functionally safe — the difference is longevity and slide feel.
Polyester: Standard. Adequate for most riding. Entry tier.
Aramid: Higher heat resistance and tensile strength than polyester. Recommended for regular track use.
Kevlar-grade: Highest tier. Superior abrasion and tensile strength. Reduces seam-burst risk in high-speed slides. Recommended for competitive track riders.
All suits are triple-stitched at impact zones regardless of thread choice.
Full care guide is in the Care Guide tab, but the essentials:
- Never machine wash. Wipe with damp cloth only.
- Air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Condition leather every 3-6 months with a quality leather balm.
- Store on a wide hanger, never folded.
- After a wet ride, dry the interior with a fan (not a hairdryer).
Shipping
Delivery times, carriers, and international logistics.
We currently ship to 10+ countries including the USA, Germany, Netherlands, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Australia, and the UAE. If your country isn't listed, message us — we can usually arrange shipping to most destinations.
We ship via DHL Express, UPS, or Skynet depending on your destination and preference. All shipments include tracking. DHL is fastest to Europe and USA (3-5 days). UPS is our default for North America. Skynet is available for cost-sensitive shipping.
Duty is typically the buyer's responsibility. Customs fees vary by country — DHL and UPS will invoice you directly on delivery.
For EU customers: expect duty of roughly 12% of declared value plus local VAT (19-25% depending on country). For USA customers: no duty on shipments under $800.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping is available for premium orders — ask us for a quote.
Yes for all custom suits. Standard DHL or UPS shipping is included in the price of every custom racing suit. Accessories and add-ons under $150 may incur shipping charges.
Payment
How payment works and what we accept.
Yes — custom orders are paid in full at time of order. Because the suit is built specifically for you, we don't hold materials or begin production until payment clears.
For orders over $1,500, we can arrange a 50/50 split (50% at order, 50% before shipping) — ask us on WhatsApp.
Prices are displayed in USD on the site. You'll be charged in the currency shown at checkout. Your card issuer may apply their own exchange rate if it differs from your card's home currency.
Returns & Warranty
Our policy on returns, exchanges, and defects.
Every Bakim Forge suit is warrantied for 12 months from delivery against manufacturing defects — stitching failures, hardware breakage under normal use, leather delamination.
Not covered: crash damage (that's the suit doing its job), general wear and tear, damage from improper care, damage from track incidents. Repairs after crashes are available as a paid service — usually cheaper than a new suit.
